(NEWARK, DE) - Analtech, Inc. - the only U.S. manufacturer of Thin Layer Chromatography plates - saw a 46% increase in its International Sales this year.
The company has grown from selling products in approximately 40 countries a year ago to now serving labs, universities, private companies, and government agencies in more than 65 countries on six continents (still waiting for an order from Antarctica).
Steven Miles, General Manager of Analtech, said the great success Analtech continues to enjoy in international sales is thanks in large part to the services offered by the World Trade Center Delaware, the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Delaware State Office of International Trade & Development, and the Delaware BioScience Association.
“Thanks to the men and women involved with these organizations, we've been able to work with trade specialists from the Middle East, Brazil, Chile, and the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the USA,” said Miles. “These opportunities have helped us initiate and grow great business relationships around the world.”
Additionally, Analtech's launch of its video, “The Adventures of Ana L'Tech” has increased the company's exposure on a global scale.
“This video has now been featured on blogs and web sites from Brazil to Finland to Australia,” said Miles. “The result has been a marked increase in brand recognition and interest in our products.”
Miles said he expects sales to continue to grow as the company expands its product line - having already launched the new XTRX extraction columns and preparing to release a new line of superior HPLC columns.
Thin Layer Chromatography is a method used in research labs and hospitals around the world for everything from forensic investigations to pharmaceutical development to environmental science.
Founded in 1961 by four men with backgrounds in chemistry, coatings, and finance, Analtech, Inc. manufactures nearly a million thin layer chromatography plates a year as well as hundreds of other products used in conjunction with separation sciences. Analtech ships its products to more than 65 countries on six continents.
