Analtech General Manager Steven Miles spoke with the Biotechnology Class at St. Georges Technical High School about Thin Layer Chromatography.
Florence Malinowski, Biotechnology Instructor at St. Georges, invited Miles to speak to the class about chemistry and some of the practical applications of chromatography.
Malinowski says the goal of the St. Georges Technical High School Biotechnology Program is to contribute to the nurturing of the Delaware biotechnology industry by providing a critical mass of high school graduates that will be well prepared for entry-level laboratory positions and for the challenges of post-secondary training.
"The work Florence Malinowski is doing at St. Georges Technical High School is exciting. Florence is very talented and I can see that she really loves to teach," Miles said. "The students coming through this program will definitely be coveted by local biotech firms. I look forward to working with Florence and other teachers to help train the next generation of scientists."
