Pittcon Plans 2009 - Social Media Edition

John Buie recently sent out an e-mail that captures perfectly the excitement surrounding Pittcon (and yes, a great plug for us!) - here's an excerpt:
we are only ... days away from the SuperBowl of Spectroscopy, the Christmas morning of Chemistry, the Rolling Stones farewell tour (since it’s also an annual event that’s been going on for 60 years) of Radioactivity – It’s Pittcon time!!
Dreams of shiny new lab equipment, cutting-edge technical programs, press conferences, networking, and free shwag have been dancing in my head for the past month. I am so excited to attend my fourth Pittcon next week in Chicago and see firsthand live demos of the latest and most innovative laboratory instruments. But before I get to the equipment, there is something, actually someone, I am looking forward to meeting at Pittcon and that is Ms. Ana’L’Tech, the lovely star of Analtech’s hilarious short film, “The Adventure’s of Ana’L’Tech.” Stop by booth# 2910 to meet Ana yourself. But if I beat you to her, please give us some space and spend that time chatting with Ken Grant about Analtech’s new thin layer chromatograph instead.
